Kwan Yat-wah: Flu Incidence Still at High Level, Expects Many More Cases This Month

Kwan Yat-wah said flu incidence remains at a high level and he expects there will still be many flu cases this month. So far this flu season, 29 severe paediatric influenza cases have been recorded, 2 of whom died. He believes this is related to the long interval since the last round of vaccination and the gradual decline in antibodies among members of the public, with some people also having congenital factors, plus severe cross-infection in the community.
