AFCD launches special operation, prioritising high-risk locations to step up capture of unattended dogs

漁護署展開特別行動優先到高風險地點加強捕捉無人看管狗隻

AI briefing

The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) will launch a new phase of special operations from today, over the next four months prioritising high-risk locations where dogs have attacked passers-by and stray dogs have gathered, to step up the capture of unattended dogs. After capture, microchips and licence registrations will be checked, and where there is sufficient evidence, dog owners will be prosecuted, with enforcement carried out in co-operation with the police; healthy and docile dogs will be handed over to partner animal welfare organisations for neutering and adoption.
