In a document submitted to the Legislative Council Panel on Development, the Development Bureau said the government proposes to revitalise the land around Hung Hom Station and the waterfront area, and the Coliseum will be fully retained. After preliminary discussions with the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the authorities will incorporate improvement works to the Coliseum facade and plaza into the development project, including considering installing projection facilities and LED banners on the inverted pyramid-shaped facade, replacing floor tiles and lamp posts in the plaza, increasing the number of toilets, and renovating the staircase leading to MTR Hung Hom Station.
