Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Completes Cross-Border Trading Pilot for Green Products with Guangzhou and Shenzhen Exchanges

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing has completed the first batch of cross-border trades in green products through two pilot schemes with the Guangzhou and Shenzhen exchanges. The Core Climate platform helped 15 companies, including the Airport Authority, China Power International Development and Bank of China (Hong Kong), purchase green electricity certificates (GECs) through the Guangzhou Power Exchange Centre.
