Stationery retailer says customers prefer saving money for travel; some citizens say they rely almost entirely on online shopping

Stationery and lifestyle retailer said on Facebook in August that the operating environment this year was more challenging than expected, with citizens preferring to set aside more budget for travel and tending to buy non-urgent items online. The Closing-Down Warehouse, which is integrating resources with Stationery and Lifestyle, said earlier this month that the lease for its Wan Chai flagship store would expire in mid-November, and that the previous lease had been signed before the "free shipping on Taobao" policy was introduced.
