Joint customs clearance at Huanggang Port: residents of both places must register on both sides of the port

Hong Kong and mainland residents must register with the immigration authorities of both places before they can use the automated joint customs clearance lanes at the new crossing facilities at Huanggang Port. An Assistant Director of Immigration said that after the port opens, an estimated 100,000 passenger trips are expected to use it daily, and the Immigration Department will deploy sufficient manpower at the port to assist travellers with registration.
