Tse Chin-wan: Government will step up management of dangerous dogs to prevent abandonment by owners

Secretary for the Environment and Ecology Tse Chin-wan said the government will step up management of dangerous dogs and tighten requirements for owners to properly restrain their dogs, in order to prevent abandonment. In the past, the government used to catch tens of thousands of stray dogs every year, but this has now been reduced to several hundred, marking a significant improvement in the situation.
