Police crack down on new-style crash-for-cash gang, arrest 17 more; cumulative amount involved reaches 1.3 hundred million

In the latest round of operations, police arrested 17 traffic accident civil compensation claimants on suspicion of fraud, involving 63 claims with a total claim amount of 2500 ten thousand dollars, and seized a batch of documents and mobile phones during the operations. Police have been investigating new-style crash-for-cash scam cases since January this year, with a cumulative total of 55 people arrested to date and a cumulative amount involved of 1.3 hundred million dollars.
