Housing Bureau Says 1,850 Wang Fuk Court Owners Have Signed Sale Agreements, 93.2% of Total

The Housing Bureau says the deadline for owners at Tai Po's Wang Fuk Court to sign sale agreements for the sale of their flats expired yesterday, with 1,850 owners across Blocks A to H having signed, accounting for 93.2 per cent of the total number of units. Some owners were unable to sign before the deadline due to ownership issues such as the need for probate, bankruptcy, ownership disputes or being outside Hong Kong, and the government will consider arrangements on a discretionary basis according to individual circumstances and continue to follow up on the procedures for transferring the deeds.
The Housing Bureau publishes the specific number and proportion of households at Wang Fuk Court that have signed sale agreements after the signing deadline expired, and explains the categories of special circumstances in unsigned cases.
