The Housing Bureau responded to the incident involving reinforcing bars deviating from the approved plans at the first-time buyer housing development at Anderson Road in Kwun Tong, saying it would urge the developer to complete the units as early as possible while ensuring construction quality and safety. Developer Cheung Kong Holdings plans to demolish 3 of the buildings for redevelopment, and the Buildings Department has approved the demolition plans. The project must provide no fewer than 1000 first-time buyer units in accordance with the land sale terms. The Housing Bureau stressed that the progress of individual projects would not have a significant impact on overall supply.
