AI briefing

The Government Chinese Medicine Testing Centre of the Department of Health has developed a simple DNA testing method for deer antler, reducing the identification time for genuine deer antler from the traditional three days to within one day. Since its establishment, the centre has completed 22 thematic projects. Its permanent building in Tseung Kwan O has been progressively put into service since the end of last year, with a total floor area of about 27,000 square metres. It has also developed a chemical analysis method for compound Chinese medicine granules, which allows 'one test, multiple detections' to simultaneously test the chemical indicator components of multiple Chinese medicinal materials.
