Male Police Officer Convicted of Secretly Filming Woman at MTR Lai King Station, Sha Tin Magistrates' Courts Rules

A 39-year-old male police officer was today convicted at Sha Tin Magistrates' Courts of "unlawful filming or observation of intimate parts" after he allegedly secretly filmed a woman on an escalator at MTR Lai King Station while off duty in August last year. Magistrate Wong Kwok-fai said the victim's testimony was credible and that the defendant's series of actions, including looking behind him and bending forward, were consistent with filming under a skirt. Sentencing was adjourned to 17 November for community service order and background reports, and the defendant was remanded in custody.
