Ashes of Anita Mui Removed from Po Lin Monastery Nearly Three Months Ago, Family Publicly Appeal for Leads

The ashes of late superstar Anita Mui were taken from the columbarium at Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island. Her family said they have been missing for nearly three months and are publicly appealing for leads. Fans discovered on 18 July that the screws on the niche had been loosened and the urn was missing when they went to pay their respects. After the family reported the case to the police, investigators made no progress over nearly three months. The family are urging anyone who was present and drivers who passed the monastery in July to submit dashcam footage.
