Anderson Road Starter Homes Project Short of Steel Reinforcement as Former Contractor Excel Sky Files Claim Against Rebar Subcontractor for Over 290 Million

Some steel reinforcement at the Kwun Tong Anderson Road Hong Kong people's starter homes project deviated seriously from the approved plans, and the developer decided to demolish and rebuild 3 of the blocks, with former contractor Excel Sky also replaced. Excel Sky today filed a writ at the High Court against rebar subcontractor Tak Wang Construction for breach of contract, saying the other side forced the company to spend heavily on investigation, testing and remedial studies and left it facing claim risks, and seeking over $290 million in damages.
