Aggressive Construction Delisting Case: Buildings Department Appeals, Says Lower Court Too Strict, Stresses Refusal to Renew Licence Followed Legal Requirements

The Buildings Department has appealed against the ruling that allowed the appeal by Aggressive Construction Company Limited over the refusal to renew its licence. The case was heard in the Court of Appeal today (27). The department said the lower court judge was too strict on the standard for issuing notices, stressing there were reasonable grounds to refuse the licence renewal and that the procedure complied with legal requirements. After hearing submissions, the judge will hand down judgment within 3 months.
