Spirit of Hong Kong Awards: Blind musician with rare congenital condition takes the stage

Blind musician Cassie Li Pui-ying performed at Queen Elizabeth Stadium for more than 2,500 audience members, singing, speaking and playing the drums. The performance was organised in March by Live Theatre, which is also run by her mother Marine Mak; the group gives visually impaired students a stage to perform on. She underwent a seven-hour operation in Hong Kong in 2025.
