Good Old Soil aims to build a sustainable future for Lantau's rural communities

Community organisation Good Old Soil, supported by the Land Education Foundation, works with farmers, young people, restaurants, craftspeople and businesses in Lantau to build a local economy that can sustain itself after individual funding ends. The organisation was established in 2022 and opened a shop in Mui Wo. Many rural projects in Hong Kong receive funding but last only one to two years, ending when the money runs out.
