Insurance Authority urges public to watch out for fake Prudential emails and fraudulent websites
保險業監管局呼籲留意偽冒電郵及欺詐網站
The Insurance Authority urges the public to watch out for fake emails sent from info@prudential-hk[.]site, which lure recipients to browse fraudulent websites in an attempt to obtain personal or payment details. The relevant websites impersonate Prudential Insurance Company Limited, which has confirmed it has no connection with them, and the case has been referred to the Hong Kong Police Force for investigation. Those who have provided information or made transactions can call the Prudential customer service hotline on (852) 2281-1333 and report the case to the police.
Lists the fake email addresses, fraudulent website URLs and Prudential hotline, allowing people to check one by one whether they have come into contact with them.
