Chief Executive John Lee Receives Report From Independent Committee on Tai Po Wang Fuk Court Fire

Chief Executive John Lee on 22 October received the report submitted by the independent committee set up over the Tai Po Wang Fuk Court fire. He said the government would carry out comprehensive reforms on the supervision of building maintenance works, building management and the regulation of fire service installations, and would announce the reform plan and how responsibility would be pursued shortly. The government would seek legal advice so that the report could be made public as soon as possible in an appropriate manner.
