The first-phase services of Kai Tak Hospital will open tomorrow (the 5th), with the Family Medicine Comprehensive Centre and allied health services opening first. The centre is the 14th family medicine clinic in the Kowloon Central Cluster, providing an additional 250 slots daily, with a dedicated pharmacy and negative-pressure rooms that can be converted into designated clinics during an epidemic. Specialist new-case appointment counters will handle matters through a one-stop process, with an average of 15 minutes expected to complete, halving the time compared with the old hospital.
