Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing chief executive Bonnie Chan has called for Hong Kong to build a diversified asset ecosystem covering fixed income and currencies, commodities and more, rather than relying solely on expanding and strengthening the stock market. She said global investors' attention has returned to Asia and China, with allocation preferences no longer confined to equities, and believes it is essential to invest in China.
