Bonnie Chan: Artificial intelligence will be used to screen whether companies meet disclosure requirements

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing chief executive Bonnie Chan said artificial intelligence would be used to screen whether new listed companies meet disclosure requirements, and stressed that although there are large numbers of new listings queuing up to list in Hong Kong, the quality of listed companies will not be compromised. She also said Hong Kong's cash equities market has the capacity to shorten the settlement cycle to "T+1", and if implemented, supporting measures would be put in place to help the market adapt.
