Sheng Player Loris Yu Founds Ensemble to Build a Performance Platform for the Next Generation

Hong Kong sheng player Loris Yu founded the all-sheng group Breathless, whose members include his teacher Loo Sze-wang and his students, aiming to provide a performance platform for sheng students and to pass on sheng music. He is also a founding member of the fusion band Fusicianz, which combines Chinese music, Western music and electronic music, hoping to open up conventional thinking. He admitted that when resources are insufficient he rehearses at home, and that he will keep going as long as he is able.
