SAFE Issues Draft Rules to Simplify Foreign Exchange Settlement and Facilitate Cross-Border Trade

The State Administration of Foreign Exchange issued a draft for public consultation on Monday, proposing 9 measures to facilitate current-account foreign exchange transactions, aiming to expand the applicable scenarios, scope and types of services and further reduce corporate funding costs. The draft also simplifies cross-border trade payment processes to promote international commercial exchanges.
