Transport Department announces transport and public transport arrangements after reconstruction of Huanggang Port
皇崗口岸重建後的交通及運輸安排(附圖/短片)
The Transport Department announced the transport arrangements as the reconstructed Huanggang Port comes into service and operates 24 hours, with seven franchised bus routes (including one overnight), six minibus routes (including three overnight) and five 24-hour short-haul cross-boundary bus routes at the port. Empty urban and New Territories taxis must first go to the public transport buffer area to collect a token, while passengers of pre-booked fleet taxis can register at the waiting area in the port building. The Transport Department urged the public to use other land and rail control points as needed in the initial period and said there was no need to rush to use the new port to cross the boundary.
The announcement sets out the specific number of each type of route and the taxi token collection arrangements, allowing readers to verify their travel options and plan their cross-boundary trips accordingly.
