Chan Kwok-ki Says EPD Implemented Improved Tender and Assessment Procedures for Food Waste Collection Service Contracts in July

Chief Secretary Chan Kwok-ki says the EPD has improved the tender budget estimation method and assessment criteria for food waste collection service contracts, and implemented the relevant procedures in service contracts tendered in July this year. In April this year, the EPD also drew up monitoring guidelines setting out inspection criteria, breach assessment and follow-up procedures for late submission of reports, and piloted the use of artificial intelligence to help recheck tender documents. The department will continue to identify sites for additional recycling points and adjust the locations and service hours of recycling points in a timely manner.
