Centre for Food Safety Tests 236 Samples of Japanese Imported Aquatic Products, All Radiation Levels Within Limits

The Centre for Food Safety tested 236 samples of Japanese imported "aquatic products and their products, seaweed and sea salt" from noon on 5 November to noon today, and none were found to have radiation levels exceeding the safety standard. Over the same period, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department tested 50 local fishery product samples, all of which passed; the Observatory also stepped up monitoring of environmental radiation levels in Hong Kong waters and found no abnormalities.
