HK startup targets diamond wafers for use in AI chips

A local startup began mass-producing diamond wafers 11 years ago and developed its own related equipment, making it a pioneer in the field. Diamond wafers can be used in AI chips. The company saw the potential of applications for lab-grown diamonds beyond jewellery more than 10 years ago, drawn by the application potential brought by their superior physical properties.
