Hang Seng Index edges up in early afternoon session

Hong Kong shares edged up in the early part of the afternoon session, with the Hang Seng Index at 24,221, up 181 points, or 0.76 per cent. The Tech Index stood at 4,219, up 35 points, or 0.85 per cent.
