Former Demosisto secretary-general Joshua Wong admitted one charge of conspiracy to collude with foreign or overseas forces to endanger national security and was jailed for 10 years. In Beijing, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said Wong's crimes were serious and that, faced with a large amount of facts and evidence, he had no way to argue and chose to plead guilty, and reiterated that the central government firmly supports the Hong Kong SAR in safeguarding national security in accordance with the law.
Joshua Wong was jailed for 10 years for conspiracy to collude with foreign forces to endanger national security, and a Foreign Ministry spokesperson reiterated support for the Hong Kong SAR in safeguarding national security in response.
