Observatory: Hong Kong's October Mean Temperature of 27.6 Degrees Makes It the Warmest October Since 1884

The Observatory says Hong Kong experienced its warmest October since 1884, with last month's mean maximum temperature of 30.5 degrees, mean temperature of 27.6 degrees and mean minimum temperature of 25.8 degrees all breaking the previous highest records for October. The Observatory says that apart from climate warming, this was also due to a very strong El Niño event, together with a weaker-than-normal northeast monsoon and a stronger-than-normal upper-air anticyclone affecting southern China.
