Several lifts at Queen Mary Hospital's new clinical block are unable to operate because of construction problems. The Development Bureau has received reports submitted by the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department and the Architectural Services Department, and is reviewing whether there were shortcomings in construction, acceptance and supervision. It aims to submit an investigation report to the Chief Executive in mid-October, and will later report the results to the LegCo Panel on Development. The bureau said the investigation is ongoing and it is not appropriate to comment at this stage.
