Hong Kong again rated world's freest economy by Canada's Fraser Institute as rule of law score falls

Hong Kong has been rated the world's freest economy in the Fraser Institute's Economic Freedom of the World 2026 Annual Report. The report again noted that the decline in Hong Kong's scores in areas such as the rule of law is related to the national security law.
