Julia Leung: HKEX to issue consultation paper this quarter on extending cash market trading hours

Securities and Futures Commission Chief Executive Julia Leung said that Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing will issue a consultation paper this quarter on extending cash market trading hours, and views from all sectors are welcome. She noted that the extension of trading hours will first be implemented in the derivatives market. She pointed out that the move would help investors respond promptly to global market changes and ensure that Hong Kong maintains its competitive edge.
