Fertility Centre to resume all services from Tuesday after 14 treatments suspended over embryo biopsy sample mix-up

The fertility centre will resume all services from Tuesday. The centre had earlier been involved in an embryo biopsy tissue sample mix-up incident, leading to the suspension of 14 treatment services; after an on-site inspection, the Authority confirmed that the centre had improved its internal sample handling procedures, installed closed-circuit television and biometric authentication systems, and that the main personnel involved had left and staff training had been supplemented. The Authority will continue to closely monitor the centre's performance.
