Secretary for Health and Welfare Lo Chung-mau's written reply to Legislator Chan Hak-kan's question on the reform of public healthcare charges. As at 30 September, 300 285 applications for medical fee waivers were approved, with an approval rate of over 90%, and 20 655 patients were approved under the annual fee cap. In the first nine months of this year, accident and emergency attendances fell 0.9% year-on-year, of which non-emergency cases declined by as much as 17.5%.
