UK Charity Lia's Wings Issues Urgent Appeal for Donated Private Flight to Bring 9-Month-Old Critically Ill Baby Boy Home to UK from Hong Kong

UK-registered air ambulance and family support charity Lia's Wings on Friday urgently appealed for a donated private flight to bring 9-month-old Matthew, a baby boy from Nottinghamshire, home to the UK from Hong Kong. Matthew came to Hong Kong with his mother several months ago to visit relatives and, after contracting influenza A, suffered three cardiac arrests; he remains hospitalised in a critical condition and is reported to have been deprived of oxygen to the brain for 47 minutes.
