Parent-child interview | Caritas joins hands with Hong Kong start-up to launch AI Cantonese voice hotline supporting DSE candidates' emotions

Caritas Youth and Community Service and local AI start-up Pureverse have completed the pilot project of the "Caritas DSE Further Studies 24-hour AI Hotline", providing current-year DSE candidates with 24-hour further studies consultation and initial emotional support. During the pilot, 43.9% of calls took place outside office hours, 14.6% of calls lasted more than 10 minutes, and the longest single conversation reached 113 minutes. The service features a "three-tier response framework"; crisis cases that trigger Red Flag keywords will encourage help-seekers to leave contact details for referral to real social workers for follow-up.
