Spirit of Hong Kong Awards: Youth cancer organisation founder shortlisted for Community category

Timothy Chan Chi-fung was hospitalised at the age of 19 with a testicular tumour and found that Hong Kong's hospital system mainly caters for children or the elderly, neither of which suited him. He subsequently founded Youth Cancer Hong Kong to support young cancer patients, and has been shortlisted for the Community category of this year's Spirit of Hong Kong Awards. The awards are co-organised by Sino Group and the South China Morning Post and were established in 2013.
