Spirit of Hong Kong Awards: Explorer inspires youth through glacier field trips

Explorer Wilson Cheung took Hong Kong secondary school students on a field trip to the Swiss Alps this summer, where glacial melting and ground thaw rendered some of the terrain he had previously reached inaccessible, while increased rockfalls added to the danger. He did not complete a scientific snowkite crossing of Greenland covering about 1,700 kilometres (1,056 miles) a few weeks ago, collecting data continuously along the way.
