Residents say Kai Tak Hospital buses run only every half hour on opening day; Yeung Wing-kit urges frequency increase to 10 to 15 minutes

Kai Tak Hospital began phased opening on Monday. Some residents said buses to the hospital ran only every half hour, which was too infrequent, and some had to transfer to taxis. The hospital said passengers can interchange at 5 MTR stations — Kai Tak, Kwun Tong, Kowloon Bay, Wong Tai Sin and Yau Tong — and that 5 KMB routes, 5 Citybus routes and 6 green minibus routes provide direct access. Legislative Council member Yeung Wing-kit suggested increasing the frequency to one bus every 10 to 15 minutes.
