Baidu's Apollo Go autonomous vehicles to open public trial rides in Tung Chung from 20 October

The Po Lam Estate autonomous vehicle testing project under Baidu's "Apollo Go" will hold Hong Kong's first public trial ride event in Tung Chung from the 20th of this month to the 3rd of next month, with a route running back and forth between Yat Tung Estate and the Sheraton Hong Kong Tung Chung Hotel, and a journey of about 15 minutes. A backup operator will be on board at the time, while remote backup operation will also be tested. Baidu said it hopes to deepen the public's understanding of autonomous driving.
