Securities and Futures Commission: Hong Kong securities industry net profit rises to $51.7 billion in first half

The Securities and Futures Commission published the Securities Industry Financial Review report, showing that the Hong Kong securities industry's net profit in the first half rose 21% from the second half of last year to $51.7 billion, an annual increase of 78.88%, benefiting from active market turnover that drove up trading commissions. Over the same period, total expenditure and interest expenses fell 2%, up 17.11% year-on-year to $104.244 billion.
