Yiu Pak-Leung Proposes Tourism Site Management Concept for East Dam, Combining Booking System With Transport and Guided Tours

Legislative Council member Yiu Pak-Leung has proposed that the government introduce a tourism site management concept at the East Dam of High Island Reservoir, combining the booking system for the Po Pin Chau section with value-added services such as transport and guided tours. He said that since the booking system was implemented, visitor numbers have been lower than in previous Golden Weeks and traffic has been smoother, and he believes that because booking is free, absence carries no cost, and short-haul mainland visitors may cancel trips when the weather is bad.
