Over 2,000 people await organ transplants daily; Libby Lam urges public to promote organ donation culture

Under Secretary for Health and Welfare Libby Lam has urged the public to practise the '3S of organ donation' — register their wish, inform their family, and spread the message to relatives and friends — to foster a culture of organ donation. The Centralised Organ Donation Register currently has over 420,000 citizens registered, yet more than 2,000 patients are still waiting for suitable organs every day. She made the appeal at the launch ceremony of the Hong Kong Transplant and Dialysis Sports Games.
