The centre has been approved by the Assisted Reproduction Committee to resume the 17 treatment services covered by its licence, and can accept new patients from Tuesday. The committee conducted an unannounced inspection on September 22 and was satisfied that the centre had improved its sample handling procedures. Previously, the centre had sent the wrong embryo sample to the CUHK Genetic Diagnostic Centre for DNA testing.

    The Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health calls on women to respond to Breast Cancer Awareness Month by adopting a healthy lifestyle and undergoing risk-based screening. Over the past 10 years, the overall five-year relative survival rate for breast cancer reached 84%, rising to as high as 99.3% for stage one. As at the end of June 2026, about 1,360 high-risk women had received screening under the phase two pilot programme, of whom 17 were diagnosed with breast cancer, all at stage one or below.

    A "School Locations and Information" dataset has been published on data.gov.hk, containing georeferenced data and related information for government, private, subsidised, Direct Subsidy Scheme, English Schools Foundation and international schools, kindergartens and kindergartens with nursery classes. The dataset is updated monthly and maintained by the Education Bureau for general enquiries.
