    The Faculty of Arts at the University of Hong Kong recently announced a collaboration with Pacific Music Group (PMG) to launch a student record label, "M Records". The label will discover student musicians from across Asia, provide funding, resources and guidance, and compile student works into albums.     機電署連續第四日巡查由臺日電梯（香港）安裝升降機的樓宇，再發現186幢無安裝耐火門框組件，四日累計338幢，佔整體巡查比例約88%，全屬私人樓宇。署方稱已完成巡查臺日負責的樓宇，會繼續巡查其他註冊升降機承辦商負責的工程。

    Woman Without Electrician Licence Critically Burned as Sparks Erupt in Distribution Board Removal Error

    1 woman suffered an electric shock while working backstage at the Cultural Centre in Tsim Sha Tsui yesterday. A preliminary investigation believed that an operational error caused sparks when she was dismantling a distribution board. She suffered burns to her face and both hands and was in critical condition after being taken to hospital. The Electrical and Mechanical Services Department said electrical work must be carried out by registered electrical contractors and registered electrical workers, and information showed that the injured woman was not a registered electrical worker. The incident was classified as an industrial accident.

    殘疾人士院舍涉性侵個案5年20宗 社署指書面勸喻及勸告各5宗

    社署回覆明報查詢，2021至2026年殘疾人士院舍涉及性侵犯個案共20宗，其中津助院舍佔17宗。社署發出書面勸喻及書面勸告各有5宗，其餘10宗因確定院舍沒有違規及已妥善跟進，毋須發出書面改善要求。過去10年社署每年巡查逾300間殘疾人士院舍。

    西營盤薄扶林道22號恆輝大廈一單位今晚8時許發生火警，消防出動一條喉及一隊煙帽隊灌救，火勢約近一小時大致救熄。消防在單位救出一名年約70歲昏迷男子，送往瑪麗醫院搶救後證實不治。消防調查後認為起因沒有可疑，火警源頭為廚房，懷疑煮食引起。

    The government plans to set up an injury compensation mechanism for platform workers such as food delivery riders and couriers, and will put forward legislative proposals within this year, but the preliminary legislative framework does not propose to mandatorily cover waiting and order-grabbing time.     Platform delivery riders in Hong Kong lack statutory work injury compensation protection and are generally covered by insurance taken out by the platform companies themselves, and the government plans to legislate a work injury compensation mechanism for platform workers. In May this year, delivery rider Joe received an order-grabbing notification from the Keeta platform while riding a motorcycle, looked at his phone after being distracted and crashed, leaving him paralysed from head to toe, and he has still not received insurance compensation. His wife Ah Yee hopes future legislation can protect delivery riders throughout their entire online period, and that work injury sick leave pay should align with existing labour legislation.
