The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (18 October) that due to big waves, red flags have been hoisted at Stanley Main Beach, Shek O Beach and Big Wave Bay Beach in the Southern District of Hong Kong Island, as well as Clear Water Bay Second Beach in Sai Kung District, indicating that swimming there is dangerous and members of the public are advised not to swim there.

康文署新興體育活動資助計劃恆常化 巧固球總會獲約十萬元資助

康樂及文化事務署由2025至26年度起將新興體育活動資助先導計劃恆常化，並定名為新興體育活動資助計劃，每間合資格體育機構最高資助額由2024至25年度的18萬元上調至20萬元。中國香港巧固球總會今年獲約十萬元資助，用於舉辦訓練班及學界賽、聯賽兩項本地比賽。康文署每年預留500萬元，2025至26年度及2026至27年度分別有23個和28個體育機構獲批資助。

The department has required other registered lift contractors to carry out the same checks and submit reports, with the work to be completed by mid-November, and has mobilised the lift association to help speed up installation of door frame components. Development Bureau Gazettes Eight Subsidiary Regulations as New Land Title Registration System to Be Implemented in First Half of Next Year

The Development Bureau today gazetted eight subsidiary regulations, proposing four new subsidiary regulations under the Land Titles Ordinance and amending four subsidiary regulations under the Land Registration Ordinance, the High Court Ordinance and the District Court Ordinance, to set out implementation details for the title registration system on new land in the first half of next year. New land means land held under a Government lease granted on or after the day the amended Land Titles Ordinance comes into effect, generally including land granted by way of land sale, private treaty grant and land exchange. The eight subsidiary regulations will be submitted to the Legislative Council next Wednesday for the negative vetting procedure.
