Over 160,000 Hong Kong residents register for co-verification self-service channels; Transport Department says app-booked taxis to Huanggang can pick up and drop off at interchange
The Transport Department said over 160,000 Hong Kong residents have registered to use the "co-verification" self-service channels. Responding to criticism from the taxi trade that the pick-up point for app-booked vehicles is restricted to taxi fleets, Assistant Commissioner for Transport (New Territories) Tse Sin-yee said the new Huanggang Port interchange has pick-up and drop-off areas for New Territories and urban taxis, and passengers taking app-booked taxis from urban areas to the new port can still pick up and drop off there, while the L2 level will have arrangements to assist passengers in choosing taxi fleets.
