The NSmarties AI Interactive Platform, jointly developed by the Hong Kong Police and Hong Kong Qianfan Technology, was officially launched at a ceremony at St. Mary's Canossian College in Ap Lei Chau on October 6, attended by about 700 students. A tram derailed and mounted the pavement shortly before 1am yesterday as it left the Shau Kei Wan tram depot, striking a ground-floor shop at Good View Building, 134 Shau Kei Wan East Street, with no one injured. The Transport Department immediately convened an emergency meeting with the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department and the tram company to follow up. The defence said Cheung had incurred gambling debts while playing mahjong and asked Choi and Kwok Kong-chi for money, and that Choi even mortgaged her Manhattan Hill unit to help repay the debts. Cheung denied owing gambling debts, saying it was a smear campaign, and also denied dragging Kwok Kong-chi into the case out of hatred for Kwok Kau.
